ICON Sets the Bar High in Recent ACMO 2000 Compliance Audit

Toronto, ON, October 17, 2022- ICON Property Management (ICON) recently completed an ACMO 2000 compliance audit to achieve recertification as an ACMO 2000 certified management firm.  As an ACMO 2000 certified management firm since 2013, ICON has continued to develop innovative principles and practices to exceed regulatory standards for transparency, accountability and performance excellence.

“Our business has continued to expand significantly in the last five years”, said Christy Plaitis, ICON’s Senior Vice President of Operations and ACMO 2000 leader.  “In the midst of substantial growth, the ACMO 2000 program has continued to galvanize our efforts to establish a consistent standard of service among the condominium communities we serve”.

The ACMO 2000 program provides a uniform approach to streamlining internal processes and systems through its Quality Management Principles.  ICON has incorporated these principles into its management practices and operational procedures to establish a systematic approach toward performance optimization.  “We’ve set our sights on developing procedures that deliver tangible results for our clients”, said Ms. Plaitis.  “These procedures can be easily integrated into our current management portfolio as well as seamlessly introduced as part of our building onboarding process”.

Core operational policies and procedures are also established through the development of a building and field operations manual for each site.  “We’ve found these resources especially helpful in maintaining a continuity of services for building residents when staffing changes occur”, said Ms. Plaitis.  “Ensuring all team members are aware of the board’s expectations for service has helped ensure onsite staff are operating effectively as a team”.

Through a rigorous and stringent audit process, ACMO certification continues to signify the gold standard of condominium management.  “Pursing re-certification was important to our firm as it indicates ICON’s aptitude to deliver quality services and resources to our clients”, said Wes Posthumus, ICON’s Chief Executive Officer.  “As an ACMO 2000 certified firm, our clients are confident in our ability to deliver the support and resources necessary to maximize the potential of their community”.
